I’m slowly getting a feel for the handling of a Craftsman truck. The ARCA cars I’ve raced until now are like a Cadillac compared to the trucks. The trucks just move around a lot more. They sure aren’t like your fathers Caddy. They seem a lot more top-heavy and that makes them harder to roll through the corners. They do, however, have so much side force, you’re able to hang them out a lot more than you do an ARCA car. That’s one thing I’m going to have to get used to. Once I do, though, this Ergon team is going to be one to be reckoned with.
The Ergon team is starting to gel. Doug (George, crew chief) and myself work real well together. We’re becoming friends. Working together at the shop has helped out a lot. Once we get some chemistry established, and have a chance to go to some race tracks where we have to make some more adjustments, we’ll do nothing but get better as the season goes on. Hopefully this Ergon team will have an awesome run in the Golden State.
Thanks for all you do,
Marc
