Hey everyone, I just wanted to send a quick note to say thanks to everyone I spent time with this past weekend at the Ergon company picnic. It’s amazing to see nearly 2,000 people show up. The opportunity to showcase our truck, and take time with the employees of Ergon is humbling. Me, the employees and their families were treated to food and drinks, they had trampolines for the kids to play on, and I hope everyone enjoyed taking time to look at the Ergon Toyota race truck. That truck will be the same one that will be on the track this Saturday at the Kansas Speedway. It’s a lot of fun signing autographs and taking pictures with the employees of Ergon. These people work hard and I promise I’m doing the same at the track for Ergon. I was really honored to be a part of the festivities this past weekend. It was cool to see how many people are rallying behind the race team and keeping up with how we do each week. I'm going to do my best to give them something to cheer for this weekend. I appreciate it.
We'll be racing at Kansas this Saturday and you can catch the race on SPEED Channel. Man, it's going to feel good to be behind the wheel of the Ergon truck again. This will be my first race in a Toyota. My teammate has been driving a Toyota all season long, even while I was in a Chevy. That kept us from sharing information and combining notes, so we should have a lot more to compare now.
I’ve still been keeping busy. I’m working at the shop every day, and I entered another late model race a couple weekends ago. It was a crazy race. I won the pole, but had to start in the back because I missed intros. I drove up to second-place, but had a right-rear tire go down. I ended up finishing in fourth-place. It was definitely one of the most eventful races I've ever been a part of.
But, now it’s on to Kansas and back into the swing of things. Thanks again for all your continued support.
Take care,
Marc
